13 stitchers whose last names begin with L made 13 squares for the project. The album has 13 photos of their squares, and each caption gives where the stitcher lived and which quilt holds the square.

The photos come from the project’s own online album of finished squares, recovered from the Internet Archive. Each square is the work of the stitcher named under it. Every effort is being made to preserve the historic significance of this project, though we will respect credible requests to remove a photo or a name. If you stitched one of these squares, contact us.
